Split The Bill is a shared-money app for friends, roommates, travel groups and small businesses: split any bill from a photo, track who owes whom across groups, settle up in the fewest payments, send invoices and get paid, plan budgets and recurring costs, manage rentals, run wishlists and loans — in seven languages and any currency.
Split The Bill started as a way to split a restaurant receipt from a photo and grew into a shared-money app: groups with running balances and settle-up plans, invoices for freelancers and small businesses, budget plans, recurring costs and reminders, rentals for private landlords, shared wishlists, loans between people, reports and exports. Every module is part of the same account, so a receipt scanned on a trip, a rent invoice and a loan to a friend live side by side.
The math is deterministic. The AI only reads your input — it turns a receipt photo, a voice note or a typed sentence into structured items and amounts — and then a separate, rule-based calculation engine does every split, balance and settlement. No amount is ever guessed by a language model, and the fewest-payments settle-up is computed, not estimated.
It runs in the browser on any device, so nobody in your group has to install anything to see their share or settle up. The app is published in seven languages — English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian and Serbian — and works in any currency, converting at the transaction-date rate. It tracks and displays what is owed and paid; it never holds or moves your money.
